Case study help
Case study is a short document, ideally of 5-10 pages, which reports in narrative language the description of a case, that is, of a real or likely situation. The goal is to create a simulation context in which students find themselves putting into play the knowledge and skills acquired during training to “solve the case”, that is, to make correct and / or reasonable decisions.
Very often case study help also includes documents, such as images, data tables or graphs, which give substance and precision to the narrative.
Case study help can be integrated with some purely didactic elements, such as questions for reflection or discussion, and elements of reference to the contents. Some also present possible solutions or “clues” to find them.
Case study help is also accompanied by a “guide for the teacher” which places him in a specific learning path, indicating the skills that can be developed by working on the case itself and the most appropriate ways of using it.
The “other half of the sky”, which must dialogue with the didactic scenario, is the research project. To write a case study it is essential to study the project documentation, and interview the protagonists to get a concrete idea.
Here is a possible interview trace:
What led you to do this project?
What were the most important points in its development?
What are the skills you have put into play and what have you acquired?
How are the findings relevant to the academic community and to practice?
How did you feel during the project, what was the experience for you?
After having an idea of the project, it is important to tell it to the protagonists, to check if the understanding is adequate.
